Client Reviews

I run a successful company that provides marketing services to car dealers throughout the country.  Our company sets up web sites for dealers, provides technical support, and drives leads to the business.  We often use Matt and Carlos for our legal services as we receive positive results at a price less than the larger firms that we have used in the past.  In one case, Matt defended the company in complex litigation where the plaintiff sought damages in excess of 3 million dollars.  A few days before trial, Matt obtained a settlement for less than $5,000.00, a fraction of what it would have cost just to try the case.  MLF also helps us with employment related issues, creditor / debtor matters, and legal questions that come up on a regular basis.  (Roy Van Beaumont, CEO, Autofusion.)

I was a class representative in a class action case involving 3 hotels in downtown San Diego.  Matt fought hard for us from day one and was always there to answer my questions and make the litigation process as comfortable as possible.  The case settled for over $450,000 and hundreds of people received checks over $1,000.00.  Matt is aggressive and quick.  I got to see him argue many times during the case and really liked how he felt so comfortable in the courtroom and was able to answer and respond to the court’s questions and the other attorneys’ arguments.  (Allana Gorobets, Class Representative, Francis v. San Diego Progressive.)

I am the CEO of a company that develops, produces, and markets neutraceutical products.  The Miller Law Firm represented us in an employment dispute taking the case all the way to trial with the court ruling in our favor. Matt is simply a bull-dog litigator who will zealously protect your interests.  I would use him for all litigation matters.  He is responsive to my needs and does not drain my wallet.  (Tim Dixon, CEO, Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., Jilek v. Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc.)

I am the founder of a company that provides information about restaurants throughout the country.  I operate several websites including Lasvegasrestaurants.com, losangelesrestaurants.com, and philadelphiarestaurants.com.  Matt and Carlos represented my company in a defamation lawsuit where I was sued for posting truthful information about a restaurant on my website.  The suing party dismissed the case and I didn’t have to pay them any money or take the information down.  Carlos and Matt have also assisted me with reviewing and drafting contracts, and handling creditor / debtor issues.  Over the last several months, they have recouped thousands of dollars from several delinquent accounts.  I recommend them to anyone that needs legal assistance.  They respond quickly either by phone or email; and always find time to provide timely legal advice.  Jan Rodina, CEO, Restaurant Agent, Inc.

I run a screen-printing company that focuses on providing an assortment of embroidered clothing apparel to local businesses and sports teams.  A few years ago, I lost over $250,000 in a real estate deal based on lies told to me.  Matt and Carlos handled the case from the beginning.  As the trial date grew closer, Matt spent a lot of time preparing me for my testimony and getting ready for the case.  He also tried to settle the case, but Defendants refused to pay more than $20,000.  After a week long trial, Matt and Carlos obtained a decision and eventual judgment for over $266,000.  I got to see Matt in action and was impressed by his ability to remember facts, argue stridently without going overbroad, guide me during my direct, and attack the other side when they testified.  I would definitely use Matt and Carlos again.  (Anthony Farace, President / CEO Elite-Wear.)

When I was roughed up by a police officer I thought is this really happening?  This shouldn’t happen to a 70 year old man handing out water to the homeless.  I wanted to stand up to the officer and have my day in court but thought, who is going to believe me?  It was my word (a retired car salesman) and a few homeless people who witnessed the officer throw me to the ground, versus two police officers.  Matt and Carlos believed me.  They gave me my day in court.  And after a three week trial the jury found that one of the police officers used excessive force against me.  Matt did a great job!  Thanks for all of your hard work  (David “the Waterman” Ross –  Mr. Ross is a homeless advocate who helps hundreds of people everyday by providing water and snacks to them.  He also runs the Waterman Check-In Center that provides storage space for homeless-persons’ belongings.)
