We started Miller Law Firm<\/strong> because the traditional law firm model, while lucrative and comfortable for many lawyers, does not necessarily serve clients well. Because of our experience and our practical approach to litigation, we are able to represent you effectively\u2014even in large, complex matters\u2014with a very lean team. One of the keys to our ability to do this is that we work from the beginning of our relationship to understand all aspects of your case, and to understand your business. We learn the details, but we never lose sight of the big picture. This allows us to evaluate risk, costs and<\/g> benefits, and to give you practical advice that you can use.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We recognize that most cases settle before trial and that a good settlement is often the best way to resolve a complex dispute. The ability to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of both sides of a case make<\/g> us better able to negotiate a resolution that makes sense from a business standpoint. But some disputes can’t or shouldn’t be settled, and we have the experience, focus and<\/g> energy to take your case to trial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We do not spend long hours in meetings or preparing research memos to<\/g> one another that are of no real benefit to you. We also try to pick our battles wisely. You can be confident that when we recommend filing a motion or taking a stand on a particular issue, we are thinking of what is best for you and your case\u2014and not about what approach might generate the most revenue for our firm.\u00a0<\/span>

Of course<\/g> there are times, particularly in complex matters,<\/g> when discovery<\/g> or trial preparation efforts necessitate additional help. If there comes a point in your case where we need additional staff, we are able to call on highly experienced attorneys in San Diego with whom we have worked previously to assist for as long as help is needed.\u00a0 One way we keep the cost of litigation under control is by collaborating with efficient, experienced professionals on an as-needed basis. These strategic relationships are seamless to you, and allow us to keep our overhead lower than it is at large, traditional firms.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although we specialize in certain areas of the law, we handle most litigation and transactional matters.\u00a0 If we can\u2019t handle it such as certain family law and criminal cases, we can always refer you to one that can.<\/span><\/p>\n
